It doesn't matter if you are a teacher, student, hobbyist, or top artist. After
tuning over 30,000 pianos, my ears are fine tuned to the intricacies of
the instrument.
I perform state of
the art technical piano work for the finest recording artists
in the world. Recently I tuned for Regina Spektor at the Chicago Theatre. She
stopped the sound check and called me over to compliment my tuning. She and the
road manager took my card for any future tunings she may need in Chicago.
When Robin Thicke, pianist on Alicia Keys' Freedom Tour, was having trouble with his piano, he didn't know who to call. The keys felt stiff and no other tuner was able to figure it out. Over the phone it sounded as if the distance between keys was too shallow. The piano was set aside for me, and as predicted, it was a dip in the key distance. I spent 2 1/2 hours regulating the action, and when I finished the piano played beautifully.
This is the kind of detailed work I perform on the concert stage and in the studio each week. My tuning is always precise, even in situations other tuners may not be able to handle.
